Carol Stein and Russell Stephens present "Torch Songs with a Twist!"

Russell Stephens, originally from Huntsville, AL, has been a full-time resident of Orlando since 2014. After stints with Disney, Universal, Hilton, and Marriott, he now works as the Development Manager for Central Florida Community Arts, overseeing all fundraising and special events for the organization. With a degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Alabama, his local performance credits include Disney's Jedi Training Academy, SeaWorld's O Wondrous Night, and CFCArts' Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Titanic the Musical: In Concert, and (next month) The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

In "Torch Songs with a Twist," Russell Stephens honors the leading ladies of stage and screen, paying tributes to luminaries like Patti LuPone, Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, and Idina Menzel, while also touching on some lesser known gems from the likes of Kander and Ebb, June Styne, and Jerry Herman. A frequent singer of "girl songs," Russell will also accent some of his favorite songs by touching on his dream roles and his classical roots.
