Daniel has been a succesful musician since 1976. He has a flexible and common sense approach to music and playing jazz. His musical studies began at Seminole Community College under the guidance of professor Bill Hinkle. By 1980, Daniel joined the newly formed Altamonte Jazz Ensemble and was featured soloist along with other soloists—trumpeter Bruce Staelens and saxophonist Scott Silbert. Daniel is the creator of "Journey Through Jazz", a nationally distributed educational video, which helps young music students to understand and appreciate all types of music and "Jazz".
Being close friends, Daniel along with Bruce Staelens and trombonist John Allred, ventured to New York City to further their musical careers. His selected musical highlights include touring with Maynard Ferguson for two years, performing in two broadway shows—"The Producers" and "42nd Street". He also toured with Natalie Cole as featured soloist for three years. Over the years Daniel Jordan has performed with and for Mel Torme, Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra Jr, Wayne Newton, Doc Severenson, Billy Eckstein, The Dallas Jazz Orchestra, Arturo Sandoval, and Woody Herman.
His television and recording experience includes touring with Paul Anka, at the Montreal Jazz Festival, a tour with Natalie Cole on live television in Italy, Germany, Poland and France.
Other recordings include "Live From Birdland" with Scott Whitfield, "Storm" and "Live at the Great American Music Hall" with Maynard Ferguson, plus with various artists, "Live From Pleasure Island". He has performed on New York City Broadway, “Late Night with David Letterman,” and in countless other shows and productions.
