Brooklyn

Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts, 1905 Kentucky Ave, Winter Park

Storyteller Madeline L Pots takes us on a journey through her Brooklyn childhood. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes serious, these are her stories of growing up in an eccentric family in that great urban ethnic melting pot. The show is augmented with the musical stylings of jazz artist Dan Jordan, Jonathan Bear on bells and Brooklyn poems by Johanna Jordan, read by Elizabeth Levensohn.
Madeline has performed nationally, including at The National Storytelling Festival, Jonesborough, TN, Exchange Place Concert and the National Storytelling Festival Slam. Her stories have been aired on NPR. She is the Grand Slam Orlando Story Club Champion for 2016 and 2017. Her tales touch the heart and awaken the stories within the hearts of her listeners.
