Special feature performances by veteran poets Dennis Amadeus and Chanel Gomaa! Dennis Amadeus is a nationally traveled spoken word artist, poetry slam champion, writer, teaching artist, and youth advocate. He is the co-founder of Ask Me To Do A Poem (askmetodoapoem.com), GrowHouse – a Tampa event production company dedicated to growing artists – and a member of the international poetry collective Black on Black Rhyme. Chanel Gomaa is a spoken word poet, director, choreographer and teacher. Her poetry is rooted in her culture, and is an attempt to connect and empathize with others.

Tonight's theme will be "flowers", all content related to love, mourning, transience, growth etc. Poets who wish to participate can email OrlandoPoetrySlam@gmail.com or sign up at the venue starting at 7pm. Winner of tonight's slam will receive $50!
