Ella & The Bossa Beat are back in time for the holidays, with a special intimate show as a trio, featuring Ella Borges on Vocals and Piano, Magrus Borges on Drums and Marco Bojorquez on Bass. They will be performing some Brazilian Jazz standards along with original music from their latest CD “My Remedy” and upcoming EP.
Ella & The Bossa Beat is a mixture of Soul, Pop and Brazilian Jazz. It is formed by Ella and Magrus Borges, father and daughter duo. Ella Borges, singer/songwriter was born in Miami, and raised in Brazil. She plays piano and guitar, and composes and records with her father at their home studio. She is currently a student at Stetson University, studying International Business and Music, and on the weekends performs with her band at different venues.
Magrus Borges, drummer/composer/producer from Brazil, played and recorded with many international artists such as: Shakira, Grace Jones, Astrud Gilberto, and currently touring with Bebel Gilberto. Magrus has recorded six original CDs, and produced for various artists. Ella & The Bossa Beat has performed at many Orlando Jazz clubs, art festivals, private events and Epcot/Disney. They have released their CD “My Remedy” and currently are finishing recording their new EP.
