The Don Soledad Quartet presents “Arte y Pasíon” (Art and Passion) – an evening of flamenco.

Join Don Soledad on flamenco guitar, Justin Steger on percussion, Olga Ferroni on violin, Humberto Velez on flute and flamenco dancer Briana Small while they take you on a journey to Southern Spain.

Guitarist and recording artist Don Soledad has been a mainstay in the US and Florida talent pool since his move from the San Francisco Bay Area. Upon his arrival, Don has released two original albums and more recently, a 3 song EP in 2020. His dedication to the art of flamenco guitar started under the tutelage of flamenco guitar maestros living in the US, as well as in Andalucia, Spain. Performance highlights include; opening for Jazz guitar legend Larry Coryell, stints at the Versace Mansion in South Beach and performing for Gloria Estefan’s private parties as well as being the house band for 5 years at the Estefan’s resort Costa d’Este in Vero Beach.

"Arte y Pasíon" will feature original compositions from Soledad’s two albums, new repertoire and Don’s favorite compositions from Spanish flamenco guitar maestros as well as other surprises.

Briana Small, one of Central Florida’s most talented up-and-coming dancers, is one of the principal dancers for the local Orlando dance academy Flamenco del Sol. She has been dancing flamenco for 11 years and under the direction of maestra Tammy Weber Millar for 8 years. Briana is currently on rehearsals for a production under the direction by one of Madrid’s best flamenco dancers and artistic director for ‘Spain’s Got Talent’ show Carlos Rodriguez.

Justin Steger (percussionist), is a Florida native and UCF alumnus. Justin is also the main percussionist for Flamenco del Sol Orlando, as part of many productions since 2015. He also performs in the Central Florida area on vibraphone with his Jazz trio and annually in the field of orchestral percussion with the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra as well as the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park.

A native of Moldova, Olga Ferroni started to study violin at the age of seven. She holds a Masters of Music Degree in violin performance from the G. Muzicescu Conservatory in Kishinev, Moldova. After graduation, she played for the National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova and toured Europe for 8 years as a member of the European Symphony Orchestra. While continuing her classical education, she started to explore jazz, playing in different ensembles and big bands making their appearance at jazz festivals in Romania, France, and on TV shows.

In 2000, Olga won a green card lottery which allowed her to live and work in the USA. She joined the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001. Since then, Olga has played for the West Coast Symphony, Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, Brevard Symphony Orchestra, Bach Festival Orchestra, Downtown Disney and Walt Disney World Entertainment, Cirque du Soleil as a part of the Food and Wine Festival, and other private engagements, both jazz and classical. Olga Is a leader of a Tango group called Kalinka which performs regularly at Downtown Disney.
