Beth McKee's musical landscape spans the southern US, from her Central Florida home to the North Carolina Triad, where she spends summers, and her first chosen home of Austin, Texas. The Mississippi native, whose career launched in New Orleans as a member of the band Evangeline, delivers a genuine blend of southern-roots songwriting that resonates from all these regions. Untethered by genres, she follows her muse at every turn and it has served her well. Downbeat Magazine chose Beth's albums, twice, for their Best of Year lists, Orlando Weekly named her as one of the 14 local artists reshaping the Orlando music scene and Orlando Magazine honored her as "Woman of the Year" for her work as founder and president of non-profit Swamp Sistas La La Foundation, a coalition of artists and friends dedicated to community service and supporting marginalized artists.
