Golden Flower - Orlando Progressive Jazz - goldenflowermusic.com

Forged in the heat of Florida comes one of the most exciting new voices in progressive jazz — Golden Flower is a progressive jazz band based in Orlando. This ensemble features Shawn Villanueva on trumpet, Patrick Moreno on electric piano, Brandon Kyle Miller on bass, Cameron Gholami on drums, and Caitlin Pequignot on violin. The group focuses on the heartbeat of rhythm in each of their songs, intricately crafting compositions that explore international musical influences and are full of adventurous improvisation and deep emotional energy. Blending eclectic styles of progressive rock, jazz, funk, South American musics, South Asian musics, and electronic dance music, Golden Flower finds a sound and genre all of its own.

Golden Flower has a residency at The Nook on Robinson in Orlando and has performed at the Dr. Phillips Center, City Arts for the In-Between Series, the Orlando Fringe Festival, and with Bobby Callender for the 50th anniversary of The Way: First Book of Experiences at the Timucua Arts Foundation. Its members have also performed with other acclaimed acts on national and international tours. Golden Flower currently has two music releases, has been featured as guest artists on several recordings, and are currently working on their next studio album as well as a follow-up live album.

Mudita America - The Artist Collective of Tomorrow - muditausa.com

Mudita America fosters empathetic connections in Central FL and beyond by creating innovative arts collaborations that defy the boundaries between genre, culture, and people. We believe that the future of art lies in intersectional and interdisciplinary collaborations that create opportunities for artists and audiences from all backgrounds.

In 2019, the nonprofit Mudita was established in Japan to share diverse art from around the world with Japanese youth in the most accessible way--through the idea of "empathy." After many successful years in Japan with innovative missions and programs, the American branch--Mudita America--aims to expand Mudita's shared vision of spreading empathetic connections through art experiences.
