Peter White is an English smooth jazz guitarist and composer who began his solo career in 1990 after performing as a member of Al Stewart's band for 15 years and co-writing Stewart's 1978 top-ten hit "Time Passages." As a solo artist, Peter has released 17 albums, including Light of Day in 2025, resulting in eight No. 1 hits on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Songs chart since 1998. Peter has performed and recorded with many other artists including Basia, Grover Washington Jr, David Sanborn, Jeff Golub, Gerald Albright, Boney James, Brian Culbertson, Dave Koz, Rick Braun, Bob James, Euge Groove, Richard Elliot, Mindi Abair, Vincent Ingala and many others.
