Septessence

Nashir Janmohamed studied jazz at UCLA in California, before moving to Orlando to study computer science at UCF. While there, he formed Septessence with other musicians he met as part of the UCF jazz program.
Septessence features: Joshua Mercado on trumpet; Fortunato Occhino on tenor sax; Quint Johnson on alto sax; Noah Charles III on guitar; Richard Drexler on piano; Nashir Janmohamed on bass; and James Fortune on drums.
Septessence plays a mix of original compositions by members of the band, as well as arrangements of other music, including jazz standards.
Septessence will be at Blue Bamboo as part of the JazzPro Series on Wednesday, July 26th at 8 PM
