Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra - Jazz I Orchestra Concert 4/24/2022

FSYO's Jazz I Orchestra, conducted by Richard Drexler, is a 17-20 piece ensemble that focuses on the study of big band jazz music. Students learn the theory behind jazz composition and improvisation and have the opportunity to do sectional work with some of the area's top jazz musicians. The Jazz I Orchestra is for students ages 12 to 20.

Tickets for the Jazz I Orchestra concert are $25.00 per person. If you also want to attend the Jazz II Orchestra concert at 2:00 p.m., we are offering a discounted 2-show ticket for $35.00 per person. Please call Melody Cortez at 407-636-9951 to purchase a 2-show ticket.

Central Florida Jazz Society Presents: Vivacity

Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts, 1905 Kentucky Ave, Winter Park

Vivacity is a high- energy and versatile group featuring stellar musicians and the original dance band instrument- the xylophone! Based in Orlando, Florida, the band was formed in 2007 to perform for swing dances and resort entertainment. Today, they can be heard entertaining for audiences of all ages at community events, parties, theatres, dances and conventions. The band has a unique neo-vaudeville sound with strong roots in New Orleans music. Vivacity boasts an extensive songlist of original arrangements of music from the 1920s to the Great American Songbook and beyond.
