Ella & The Bossa Beat are back at Blue Bamboo presenting a night of Brazilian Jazz and original songs. Featuring Ella on keyboard/piano and voice, Magrus Borges on drums and percussion, Marco Bojorquez on bass, with special guests Greg Little on trumpet, and from New York, Paulo Levi on saxophone and flute.

Ella & The Bossa Beat is a father-daughter duo that incorporates a mixture of Pop, Soul, Jazz, and Brazilian influences, founded by Ella and Magrus Borges.

Ella Borges was born in Miami, and raised in Brazil. She sings in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French. In addition to singing, she plays piano, guitar, writes lyrics, composes, and co-produces with her father Magrus Borges. At age twenty-two, she presents a very unique style, given her roots from Brazil, and soulful voice. In 2020, Ella was awarded 'The Focus Brazil' award for Best Female Singer in Orlando. She is also a graduate from Stetson University with a degree in both International Business and Music.

Magrus Borges is a drummer, percussionist, composer and producer from Belem do Para, Brazil. He has played and recorded with many international artists such as: Shakira, Grace Jones, Astrud Gilberto, Tania Maria, Larry Coryell among many others. He is currently touring and recording with Bebel Gilberto ( daughter of legendary father of Bossa Nova, Joao Gilberto). In 2021, Magrus was nominated for a Grammy together with Bebel Gilberto, for her newest CD "Agora". He has recorded six original CDs, and produced for various artists. He plays drums and co-writes the songs together with Ella Borges. In 2019 they released their original album "My Remedy", and are currently finishing recording their second CD soon to be released in Summer 2022.
