Jack Graham returns to the Blue Bamboo with the 5th in his series of "Songs and Stories".

This evening's show is themed “Time”, and will feature four performances. The Storytellers will be Bobby Wesley and Walt Belcher, and the Songsters will be Beth McKee and Jack Graham.

Jack Graham has been a frequent performer at the Blue Bamboo since we opened several years ago. You may have met Jack in his role as part of our production staff here at Blue Bamboo, as well as a performer. He is a regular Teller at the Orlando Story Club, and has also performed at the Florida Storytelling Festival. His concerts always feature a storytelling element, and he will be returning to the Blue Bamboo on September 9th and December 9th of this year. Jack dedicates this performance to Madeline Pots, who co-hosted all of the previous Songs and Stories shows.

Bobby Wesley is a storyteller, writer, professional marketing guy, self-styled raconteur, barstool BS-er, craft cocktail aficionado, and committed player of expensive nerdy board games. His debut one-person show, “Liquid Courage” can be seen at the 2023 Orlando International Fringe Festival. Bobby has won story slams, been featured at festivals, performed at the world famous “The Moth” storytelling show, and co-hosts the award-winning Orlando Story Club.

Beth McKee's love for performing and community merge into a perfect force of good music and goodwill. If you were to ask her whether she is an artist or an activist, she is likely to answer "both!" Beth's music is reflective of all the places she has lived and all the people she has met, making her a true "roots" artist. Reviewer Bill Bentley calls hers "a voice to call down the stars," and PopMatters states, "McKee's songwriting evokes the best of the past and the many influences she has gained on her travels throughout the American South." Beth is the creator and founder of the Swamp Sistas La La Foundation, a non-profit organization and grassroots movement dedicated to community service and artist support.

Walt Belcher has been a Storyteller most of his life. He was a news reporter at The Greenville News and then a Columnist at the Tampa Tribune. He was also a Professor at the University of Tampa. He was a featured Storyteller at the Florida Storytelling Festival in Mt. Dora this year. Walt and Bobby are both Alumni of The University of Georgia.
