Guitarists Bobby Koelble and John Krasula present “Two Guitar Show: Dead & Alive,” a unique two-set jazz experience exploring both the jazz tradition and modern composition.
Bobby Koelble, celebrated for his versatility across jazz, fusion, and even metal, brings decades of experience including his time with the pioneering band Death and his work as a longtime educator at the University of Central Florida and Rollins College. His fearless improvisation and harmonic mastery give each performance a distinctive voice.
John Krasula, a contemporary jazz and fusion guitarist, composer, and bandleader, is known for his adventurous compositions, modern sensibility, and expressive improvisation. Leading projects like JK & The Contraband, Krasula blends lyrical melodies, intricate rhythms, and textural depth.
The first set of the evening features jazz standards by “dead” composers, honoring the masters who shaped the tradition. The second set brings the music “alive” with all-original compositions by Krasula and Koelble, showcasing their inventive and modern approach to the guitar.
They are joined by drummer Johnbern Thomas and bassist Thomas Milovac, completing a powerhouse quartet that brings groove, swing, and dynamic energy to every note.
Expect a night of bold improvisation, rich harmonies, and unforgettable musical dialogue—where jazz tradition meets fearless innovation.
