Artist Spotlight: Renee "Koffee" Payne: Renee is a costume designer and mixed media visual artist. In 1995 she created costumes for Aretha Franklin's African Tour. Her inspiration comes from old historic works of art and the ancient walls of Egyptian tombs.
Renee is best known for her "Sand" paintings. She happened upon this art form by mixing sand with glue. The process evolved into a process that is a combination of sand and water based paints applied to canvas or boards.
