Come enjoy local talent as they bring the art of chamber music alive!
The Chamber Music Players consist of internationally recognized violin & viola duo Routa Kroumovitch-Gomez and Alvaro Gomez. This husband-and-wife team will be joined by some of their talented friends and colleagues to play classical selections.
Since making their professional debut in Russia in 1972, Routa and Alvaro have performed with orchestras in Europe, South America, Israel, Japan, Korea, Singapore, China, Canada, and as concert masters of the Chilean Philharmonic Orchestra. The duo currently perform together locally with the Bach Festival Orchestra, where Routa is concertmaster. Routa is also the professor of violin at Stetson University School of Music, where she has been a member of the faculty since 1989. Dr. Alvaro Gomez is the conductor of the Maitland Symphony Orchestra and Baroque Chamber Orchestra.
